Accreditation means APIA complies with the highest national standards for safety and quality of care and is committed to continually improving patient care. Assures our tribal members and Community Veterans receive quality primary health, emergency services, case management, access to care, home health monitoring for chronic patients, and specialty clinic care (dental, optometry, diabetes, etc.) visits. The Oonalaska Wellness Center (OWC) in Unalaska is staffed with a mid-level provider, regional medical director while our health clinics in Atka and Nikolski share a mid-level provider and CHA/P. The St. George Health Center is staffed with a mid-level as well as CHA/P. APIA’s Belkofski Tribal members services are provided by the King Cove Clinic (Eastern Aleutian Tribes). The Atka, Nikolski, and St. George Health Centers are designated HRSA Community Health Centers and provide primary and emergency services regardless of race or ability to pay.
