PAs in all practice specialties and settings should possess a fundamental understanding of the spectrum of healthcare that supports individuals with a transgender gender modality across their lifespan. This session will introduce current evidence on cardiovascular health, bone health, cancer screening, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and the clinical interpretation of laboratory reference ranges associated with gender transition necessary for all clinically practicing PAs to enhance their competence while caring for transgender patients with greater insight and inclusivity.

Respond to their transgender patients unique health needs associated with cardiovascular, cancer, bone, HIV, mental health, and clinical lab changes
