This session will take a deeper dive into clinical teaching specifically in the struggling learner. Information from this session will benefit both experienced preceptors as well as those new to clinical teaching. The faculty will review expectations of preceptors, as well as offer practical methods for optimizing preceptor efficiency and student experience on rotations. Lastly, we will discuss specific strategies for identifying and addressing difficult learner situations commonly encountered in PA learners.

Discuss the responsibilities and expectations of PA student preceptors
Describe strategies to efficiently integrate students into clinical practice
Develop an approach for difficult learner situations based on identified deficiencies
