Writing and publication holds many benefits for individual PAs and the PA profession. Unfortunately, PAs, on average, publish very little in the medical literature. This lecture will help PAs identify the benefits of establishing their expertise through writing, find new avenues and outlets for their work, and formulate and focus an article idea. Audience members will leave this lecture empowered to start their first article or expand their existing body of published work.

List the professional and career benefits of establishing their expertise through writing and publication
Identify multiple outlets for publication and describe various article types published by academic journals
Utilize a systematic approach to create and refine a focused topic idea worthy of publication in scholarly journals
