This presentation is designed for PAs, other healthcare professionals, clinical educators, clinical leaders, and policymakers to explore the multifaceted determinants of health. Faculty will discuss how social, political, and commercial factors influence health outcomes and disparities and will highlight strategies to address these determinants, emphasizing the need for cross-sector collaboration and systemic change to promote health equity and improve population health. Attendees will gain insights into the importance of considering these broader factors in health policy and practice to create environments that support health for all.

Describe the role of social, political, and commercial factors that affect individual, community, population health, and health outcomes
Apply the Warnecke Model to assess and address determinants of health
Evaluate frameworks for addressing determinants of health in medical practice on the institutional and provider levels
Recognize determinants of health contributors regarding clinical and patient interactions
