Teen dating violence is not an incident that remains isolated in a particular time period of an individual's life. Such violence frequently has far-reaching implications for the relationships teens will foster later in life, their likelihood of experiencing other types of interpersonal violence in college and adulthood, and their overall physical and mental health. This presentation will help primary care providers, and other providers who interact with adolescents, understand the potential impacts of violence in teenage relationships and how to address this violence, screen for it, and intervene in a healthcare setting.
