Learning Objectives:

  • Implement evidence-based management protocols for rapid recognition and intervention in oncologic emergencies to optimize patient outcomes
  • Describe the management of common metabolic oncologic emergencies such as hypercalcemia, tumor lysis syndrome, and SIADH
  • Implement timely intervention of neutropenic fever
  • Identify prompt management of structural compromise secondary to tumors
