This is a case-based session that will guide you through presentation, workup, and management of various endocrine emergencies including decompensated hypothyroidism (myxedema coma), thyroid storm, adrenal crisis, DKA, and HHS. This presentation will review ER management, as well as hospital management, and provide pertinent pearls for patient management.

Describe appropriate emergency department and inpatient management of endocrine emergencies
Define the criteria for appropriate use of the subcutaneous DKA protocol
