In this presentation, participants will delve into the critical role that emergency medicine PAs play in identifying and intervening in cases of elder mistreatment. We will explore the unique position PAs have in recognizing the signs and risk factors of elder abuse in an emergency medicine setting. Through a comprehensive review of detection methods, assessment techniques, and reporting protocols, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and practical tools necessary to effectively respond to elder mistreatment.
