Sunday, May 18, 2025
2:45 PM – 3:45 PM
CE: 1.00 AAPA Category 1 CME
Think back to your favorite preceptor during your clinical rotations. Think about what made them stand out...what made them effective. Now consider the impact that your favorite preceptor had on you and how that experience has touched the lives of thousands of patients. As PAs, we have the incredible opportunity to train and equip the next generation of healthcare providers! We are training those who, one day, may be caring for our family members, or ourselves. This session will provide a refreshing perspective on teaching students during their clinical rotations, while highlight the benefits of precepting. This session will also provide some ways to improve the clinical year experience for our students by sharing several examples of weak points with which the majority of students struggle and effective ways to address those weaknesses. If you have ever considered becoming a preceptor, or are currently a preceptor, this session is for you!
