Many complex lacerations are referred to specialists unnecessarily, prematurely, or simply because they are repaired improperly. This case-based course is designed to increase the participant's scope of practice in managing complex acute traumatic wounds. By exploring common, but frequently problematic, cases from injury and management to post-repair follow-up, participants will learn specialized suturing techniques that will improve patient outcomes.
