The PAEA Doctoral Education Commission: What It Is All About

The PAEA Doctoral Education Commission is examining the benefits, risks, consequences, and value proposition of the entry-level doctoral degree and the readiness of the profession to transition to an entry-level professional doctorate. The group is exploring core competencies, curriculum, and degree nomenclature as well as developing educational models required to make the transition by building on the outcomes, impact, diversity, demand/supply, and economics from the post-professional doctoral programs. This informational session’s goals are to introduce the work of the Commission and its members as well as gather input from participants about perceived opportunities and challenges. Time is allotted to answer questions or receive input that attendees may have about this important work.
