The purpose of this talk is to review common orthopedic injuries that may lead to significant disability if misdiagnosed and to give the participant the knowledge and tools to arrive at an accurate diagnosis more promptly, thereby facilitating more timely referral and improved patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
  • Identify commonly missed orthopedic sports medicine injuries
  • Gain physical exam skills useful for identifying commonly missed orthopedic injuries
  • Identify imaging choices to assist in accurate diagnosis of overlooked orthopedic injuries
  • Recognize criteria for referral for common orthopedic injuries
