Research in Action (RIA): 25-minute research presentation, eligible for CME
There is limited research on dermoscopy use among PAs. This survey sought to determine current dermoscopy use and its impact on overall diagnostic confidence and diagnostic confidence in darker skin tones specifically when differentiating between benign and malignant skin lesions. The research team found that while current use of dermoscopy and diagnostic confidence is low outside of dermatology, the majority of PAs are interested in learning more about this tool and using it in practice.
