This study examines the relationship between PA SoP laws and demand for PAs, APNs, and physicians, using job postings data for all 50 states from 2012–2022. Positive but not statistically significant associations were observed between PA SoP reforms and PA job postings indicating that broader economic and policy factors appear to more heavily influence PA labor demand. The results underscore the need for integrated workforce strategies to address healthcare provider shortages.
