Unlocking Opportunities: Networking with Leaders in the PA Profession

PAs have broad opportunities to utilize their skills and training. This networking session will connect PA students with a diverse group of PA leaders who occupy unique roles within the profession. The session will share information on the ways PAs can utilize their training while elevating the profession in a variety of settings, including leadership, education, industry, research, public health, and political advocacy.
This session will present an overview of various unique ways PAs can utilize their training in clinical as well as non-clinical roles (20 min). Attendees will then spend five minutes in small groups discussing potential future opportunities for PAs. This will be followed by 25 minutes of structured networking for attendees to engage with PA leaders. Participants and facilitators will be encouraged to share contact information to support continued connections.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
Describe unique opportunities for PAs to apply their training and knowledge
Exchange contact information with current PA leaders for mentorship and conversation
Strategize individualized plans to leverage training and optimize career opportunities
