This 45 minute workshop is designed to introduce the basics of suture and knot tying technique with the opportunity to practice with provided materials. Subject matter will include simple interrupted, simple running, running subcuticular, horizontal and vertical mattress suturing as well as single hand knot tying. This session is ticketed and only open to PA student attendees.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
Understand the basics of suture technique and single hand knot tying
Practice the most commonly used sutures in the OR.
Become familiar with basic surgical instruments used in wound closure.
