Dr. Barnett has been a PA since 2001, primarily practicing hospital medicine, and has provided mobile medical care to those experiencing homelessness through a federally qualified health center (FQHC). She was formerly the team lead, Chief, and then Director of hospital medicine for two hospitals at MedStar Baltimore. She is an adjunct associate professor for the University of Maryland, Baltimore, DMSc program and an instructor in quality and safety at the College of Idaho DMSc program. She is passionate about applying evidence-based practice, quality, and safety to clinical work and leads numerous quality improvement projects.
