Carl “Chip” Lange is a practicing emergency medicine physician assistant (EMPA) who has worked in the prehospital arena for 16 years and over a decade in the ED and in the field as a PA. He believes in providing high quality care no matter the setting and works primarily in rural centers. In his spare time, he runs a blog and podcast called TOTAL EM. He also runs an ultrasound education company called Practical POCUS that provides training across the country in using ultrasound at the bedside. Special interests include point of care ultrasound (POCUS), critical care, and education.
