Risa Zimmerman, has over 30 years of experience as a practicing physician associate specializing in hematology. She is Program Director for the Physician Assistant Program at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha. A UNMC graduate, she earned her PA degree in 1992, a Master’s in PAS in 2004, and an Executive MBA in Healthcare from Creighton in 2020. She was the Co-Chair of the AAPA Task Force on PA Leadership Competencies and President-Elect of the Nebraska Academy of PAs. Risa has three grown childrend lives in Omaha with her husband, Dale, and their two cats Bonnie and Clyde.
