Karen Hills is the Senior Advisor for Doctoral Education strategy for the PA Education Association. She is Professor-Emeritus Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC where she was on faculty for 16 years having served as the PA program director from 2013-2017. She received her master’s degree in health fitness management from the American University in Washington, DC, and her PA certificate from the Wake Forest University Physician Assistant Program. In August 2024, she received her DHSc from Campbell University. Her clinical experience includes cardiology, family medicine, and student health.
