Aliana Castro is a first-year PA student at Quinnipiac University. She demonstrates her passion for public health and holistic patient care through the Urban Service Track, AHEC Scholars program, which aims to serve local underserved populations through both educational and community-based service opportunities. Since she is just finishing the didactic portion and preparing for clinical rotations, the case she will present arose during her professor’s clinical experience. While her previous research includes the impacts of linguistic and culturally competent care on health outcomes, she is excited to expand her research experiences further.
