D. Trew Deckard, PA-C, MHS, AAHIVS is a Physician Associate, earning his PA, and Master’s Degrees from Duke University Medical School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude earning his Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Texas, Arlington, after starting his higher education at San Francisco State University. He has been credentialed as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) since 2003.
Before joining ViiV Healthcare in early 2024 as a Community Medical Liaison (CML), Trew practiced Internal Medicine in Dallas over 24 years, with a sub-specialty in HIV. Trew has focused on the care of complex patients living with HIV, Infectious Hepatitis, STI’s, Metabolic Disorders, Mental Health Disorders, Ano-rectal Dysplasia, including Primary Care and PrEP for his patients. In addition, he has served as Sub-Investigator for multiple HIV studies and EAPs while in the private practice setting. He continues to have commitment and passion for being a part of Ending the HIV Epidemic.
