Physician Assistant Department of Urology, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX Heath, SC, United States
Prostate and kidney cancer are in the top 10 annually-diagnosed cancers in the U.S. With more diagnostic testing, patients are being diagnosed more frequently with low-grade or early-stage cancers and the recommended treatment of some types of prostate and kidney cancers is active surveillance rather than treatment. This is a challenging treatment plan for patients, and it is important that their primary care providers understand the rationale of this plan so that they can educate and support their patients.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
List the screening guidelines for prostate cancer with PSA testing
