Research in Action (RIA): 25-minute research presentation, eligible for CME

This research analyzed national data on family medicine PAs. Family medicine PAs were more likely compared to PAs in all other disciplines to self-identify as female, Black/African American, and Hispanic/Latino(a/x). They were more likely to report working in office-based private practices and rural/isolated settings. Understanding factors associated with PAs selecting family medicine as their discipline can help lessen the projected healthcare provider shortage in this field.
