Top 10 Pharmacology Principles for PA Students

Pharmacology is an often arduous and complicated topic for most health care professionals. The sheer number of drugs and limited curricular space often do not allow for extensive training and education in this area. This session will review the Top 10 clinical pearls and foundational pharmacologic concepts that every PA student should be able to recognize and understand.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
  • List basic and foundational concepts that serve as the underpinnings for understanding pharmacology.
  • Describe the mechanisms of actions and clinical pearls of the most commonly prescribed medications in the US.
